Security Tips provided by City Bowl Armed Response (CBAR)
  • Due to concern over hijackings, when arriving home look around the area for any suspicious persons and vehicles.

  • Make sure that you have good lighting around your house. Installing lights around your home that are activated by movement can deter unwelcome visitors, while exterior sensor lights will light the path to the front door when you return home.

  • Carry a cell phone with you in the event of an emergency. Don't forget to programme the emergency number of the Armed Reaction into the memory.

  • For security and safety reasons, make sure that your property is properly walled. Gates can prevent people from entering your property unannounced

  • It is essential to have remote panic buttons. It is useful as you can activate your alarm from anywhere in your house, garden or driveway. Panic buttons are more than a safety measure - they are your last line of defence.

  • Please update your key holder details regularly, especially before you go on holiday.
