Did you know that the UK produces enough garbage every day to fill the Royal Albert Hall?
We can all do our bit to help save this planet by reducing the amount of garbage we send to the landfills.
This can be done in two ways, by changing the way we shop and the products we use and/or by recycling the items that are recyclable. Recycling has the added positive spin off of generating funds (literally out of rubbish) that can be put to good use.
The THOA supports the recycling initiative employed by Tamboerskloof Primary School. It encourages residents to participate in their endeavours to raise funds by posting your recycling into their recycling depot in Byron Street. So far the money that has been raised through our recycling efforts has gone to buying much needed books for the school as well as software for their computer center.
